The 8 Best Fashion Statements Cooked Up on Breaking Bad
The series finale of AMC's Breaking Bad airs Sunday night, and I'm approaching it with a mixture of anticipation, dread, and relief. Mind Blown: The Most Shocking TV to Emmy Red Carpet Transformations
Oh, sure, there are some actors and actresses who look exactly like their TV alter egos. (Hi, Zooey Deschanel!) But there are some who owe a big debt to the makeup, hair, and wardrobe departments (and whoever makes Jon Hamm shave on Mad Men). We talked to some dedicated cosplayers to find out how they make their costumes.
Contemporary Shows That Won't Get the Emmy's Costume Nod (But Should)
Last year, the Emmy nominees for Outstanding Costumes for a Series were Boardwalk Empire, Downton Abbey, The Borgias, Game of Thrones, and Once Upon a Time. Game of Thrones obviously won, and we wouldn't be surprised if it went on a winning streak for the rest of its time on air. And we get it--those costumes are awesome, as are those of the other nominated shows. But is it fair that contemporary shows rarely get recognized for their costumes?
