She went from pre-med student to television journalist to tech startup founder *and* inventor.

Ageless beauty Cindy Crawford leads the pack this week in this body-hugging emerald green frock. We're also dying for Brit Marling's Balenciaga by Alexander Wang look. Also unsurprisingly drool-worthy: the bevy of stylish starlets who showed up to the latest Chanel fete. Click through for all that in this week's 10 best dressed!
Last night in New York, Michael Kors received the Golden Heart Award for Lifetime Achievement for his 20-year support and commitment to God’s Love We Deliver, the New York non-profit that provides nutritious meals and counseling to people suffering from severe illnesses--and the stars, including Gwyenth Paltrow and Brooklyn Decker, came out in droves to celebrate. Among them was SNL's Seth Meyers, who had some pretty great (hilarious) fashion advice for the presidential candidates. Click through to read what he had to say and get the scoop on last night's soiree.
Beauty and fame often go hand-in-hand, so it makes sense that models and actresses seem to be forever trading places. The latest model to make the jump to acting is Erin Wasson, who we got a first look at in Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter today. And she's following in the footsteps of some of acting's biggest names, like Mila Jovovich and Cameron Diaz, who got their start as models. But while the model-turned-actress is certainly not a new breed, there seem to have been even more slashes emerging recently: Gemma Ward, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Brooklyn Decker, for instance, have all made the jump. And the new Mad Max movie (Mad Max: Fury Road) is almost cast entirely with models: former model Charlize Theron and more current ones Abbey Lee and Rosie Huntington Whitely are all set to star. And while the model/actress transition is certainly not rare--it can be hard to pull off (see: Cindy Crawford in Fair Game). Click through for our round-up of the most memorable models-turned-actresses.
Catwalk Catfight is Over: After plenty of drama, the CFDA and the BFC have confirmed fashion week dates for the next three years that have left all parties happy(ish). Through September of 2014, NYFW will start the first Thursday of September instead of the second, allowing all other fashion weeks free from conflict of dates. {WWD, sub. req.} Crystal Renn Covers Vogue Mexico: Proving she looks hot in any hair color, Renn covers the May issue of Vogue Mexico pre-bleaching. We're big fans of the Ferragamo spring 2012 dress they shot, which feels so perfectly summery. {TFS} Runaway Royals: Prince Harry attended this year's London Marathon, where he told the BBC that he had been trying to get a place "for years." And if it's up to Harry, he won't be doing it alone: "What's fantastic is that my brother and his wife will be doing it next year, I think… He's going to have to now, isn't he?" Clarence House denies that Wills and Kate have plans to run - for now, anyway.{Vogue UK}

Despite the downpour, yesterday evening's launch of Amazon.com's new private sale website, MYHABIT.com, boasted an impressive roster of boldfaced names. Everyone from super stylist Mary Alice Stephenson to designers Rebecca Minkoff and Charlotte Ronson to Disney sweetheart Vanessa Hudgens turned up for the fête. All sported perfectly-coiffed hair (celebs--they're not just like us!). The site, which offers major markdowns on designer duds, has smartly upped their fashion cred by teaming with the CFDA. Accordingly, both the organization's Executive Director Steven Kolb and President Diane von Furstenberg were out to support the site.
