The saga of Anna Wintour's growing influence over all of Condé Nast's titles since being named the publisher's artistic director continues with another masthead overhaul. The victims: at least 14 (former) Condé Nast Traveler staffers.
Another one bites the dust: Condé Nast Traveler editor in chief Klara Glowczewska was fired last week in the second major Condé Nast masthead change in as many months. And the presence of Anna Wintour--who was named artistic director at Condé Nast earlier this year--at the meeting announcing Glowczewska's departure reportedly left many staffers feeling the Vogue editor had a strong hand in the move.
Since last week’s edition of Editorial Musical Chairs, the most noteworthy and surprising development has been Anne Christensen’s move to Glamour. She just left her fashion director position at T a few weeks ago, reportedly to focus on a freelance career, but instead will be Glamour’s new executive fashion director, effective August 24th. The position was previously held by Xanthipi Joannides, who left the magazine last month.
