And a model falls ill moments before Michael Kors's Spring/Summer 2016 show.
...And Tavi Gevinson, 17, scores yet another book deal.
It's just a fact -- men are harder to shop for than women.
March 2013 may have been a good month for glossies, but the rest of the first half of the year wasn't nearly as sunny.
In publishing, September is sort of like Final Exams: Each magazine is given a grade--in the form of ad pages--and that number is generally indicative
1. Did Lindsay need Brad to tell her that she's wearing a bright color with a neutral? Didn't she probably know what colors she was wearing? 2. Doesn't Cleo kind of seem like a better and harder-working and more professional assistant than Brad's actual assistant? 3. Is Andrea Olivieri wearing a gown at this photo shoot? 4. How is a look going to be "aspirational and approachable?" And how is an open cardigan with nothing underneath something that people would actually wear? Just wondering.
1. Do all of Brad's confessional interview things have to end in a quippy one-liner? 2. Since Rachel always has to have an assistant with a big personality, does Brad have to have an assistant with a small personality? 3. Can Brad do lots of men's styling all season? I think handsome male models and editors are what is missing from all other fashion reality shows. 4. Did he just say he wants people stiffing around him?
Fans of Brad Goreski are getting another chance to peek inside his world. Rachel Zoe's former assistant, who recently scored Jessica Alba as a client, has launched a blog, aptly named Brad's Blog. The stylist's first post features images from the March InStyle spread he edited--featuring Liya Kebede in Spring 2011 Jil Sander--as well as his Details shoot with Christian Slater. (Who looks really hot in the photo, by the way. Seriously.)
Jingle bells, deck the halls, light the menorah and--most important--start buying those holiday presents! December means not only gifts, but also gift guides. (If Oprah didn't give us her holiday O-List, how would you know that Aunt Helen would like some sweet-potato butter?) These guides can be helpful, but they're an awful lot to plow through. To save you the work, StyleList has sifted through the best (and a couple of the worst, just for fun) of the magazine holiday gift guides.
