Want a Job in the Fashion Industry? Fashion Draft NYC Can Hook You Up
The fashion industry has teamed up with New York City for some serious job recruiting efforts: If you have a passion for the business of fashion (and you're a graduating college senior), start dusting off your resume and choosing your interview outfits. The New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) and Parsons the New School for Design just launched a program called Fashion Draft NYC. The goal of the program is to put exceptional candidates in front of some of the biggest fashion companies around, with the goal of hiring and keeping the industry in NYC viable and vibrant. If you're one of the 25 to 30 applicants chosen for the program, you'll be flown to NYC from February 16-18 (room and board included) and will have the opportunity to meet with reps from companies like Macy's, Theory, Bloomingdale's, LF USA, and Gilt. There will be networking opportunities, industry speakers, and behind-the-scenes tours. The best part?
