Vogue Italia has released two more Steven Meisel gifs from their March issue. When is this thing gonna drop!? Not that we're complaining about the gi
The Pirelli calendar--otherwise known as the classiest pin-up girly calendar ever--is an annual tradition for those lucky few VIPs who find it in their mailboxes. It's traditionally shot by world-renowned fashion photographers (Karl Lagerfeld last year, Mario Testino, Annie Leibovitz, Bruce Weber, Terry Richardson...the list goes on and on) and features A-list models and actresses. This morning we attended a press conference to preview the 2012 Pirelli calendar, and it left us feeling very warm and um, tingly. First of all, the calendar was shot in Corsica by Mario Sorrenti, who was in attendance and who is exceptionally easy on the eyes (he's a former model). Second of all, every single model in the calendar is as naked as the day she was born, and we were treated to a 20-minute long behind-the-scenes video documenting the shoots of all 12 models. Suffice it to say there was a lot of glistening flesh (in almost every scene an assistant is seen spritzing down the models), and a lot of come-hither looks. Here are the ladies who the lucky recipients will get to ogle in 2012: Isabeli Fontana, Natasha Poly, Saskia de Brauw, Lara Stone, Joan Smalls, Guinevere Van Seenus, Malgosia, Edita Vilkevicute, Kate Moss, Milla Jovovich, Margareth Made, and Rinko Kikuchi.
The UK's Advertising Standards Agency (ASA) must be really bored or something this month. First they pulled Dakota Fanning's Marc Jacobs Oh Lola ad because she was holding a huge bottle between her legs (we sort of get that one--SORT OF). They've now shifted their censoring sights to another American starlet, Hailee Steinfeld, who starred in that cute fall 2011 Miu Miu campaign. Or was it not cute at all, but secretly sinister?
Miu Miu's fall 2011 ad campaign starring 14-year-old Hailee Steinfeld were not entirely well-received. Even though we thought the Bruce Weber-lensed
From V's Asian Issue to the pages of Vogue UK, stylists and photographers are looking east for inspiration. I blame it on Marc Jacobs' SS11 show for Louis Vuitton, but economists may blame it on the booming market in Asia. Whatever the reason, nothing is more en vogue than referencing the far east.
