Helena Bonham Carter, 47, looks positively ageless on Vogue UK's July 2013 issue--quite fitting for the glossy's 'Ageless Style' issue. {Vogue UK} She & Him, ie Zooey Deschanel and M. The Met Ball is like the Oscars for the fashion industry: all the best people in all the best dresses. This year's theme, punk, presents an interesting conundrum: will people go all out, liberty spikes and Givenchy nose rings and all, or just throw some studs on a Chanel suit and call it pseudo-punk? We're hoping for the former, and so in the spirit of going the distance, we've picked out our favorite punk fashions and paired them with Met Ball regulars like Anna Wintour and Julianne Moore and some fantasy guests (Bjork, anyone?). Click through to see the looks we want to see on the red carpet, and let us know what you're hoping for in the comments.

We love Helena Bonham Carter. We love Marc Jacobs. We love Marc Jacobs' fall campaign, in which Helena Bonham Carter stars. We assumed Marc and Helena were BFF. We were wrong. Elle.com recently caught up with the actress, who revealed she's never actually met the designer. "I’ve never met Marc, but I’ve always admired his clothes," she said. Bonham Carter also revealed that while she had a great time--"I just had a great day, I was amazed I was paid to do it"--there was one rule: her shoes had to be mismatched. "In fact there were strict instructions, 'Please make sure she wears shoes that were different colors,'" she told the website. We guess for one day of fun with Juergen Teller--and probably a nice paycheck, too--wearing mismatched shoes on command isn't a bad thing.

Surprise! We always love Marc Jacobs' quirky choices in campaign stars and this one is no exception. Jeurgen Teller himself leaked the photo on his tumblr (which is awesome, by the way) and although he doesn't explicitly say the photo is for a Marc ad campaign, the fall 2011 outfit says it all. Though she has worn Marc before, Helena Bonham Carter may not have been an obvious one, but neither were Dakota Fanning or Victoria Beckham, if you think about it. Regardless of your opinion of HBC's personal style, there is no denying that she looks awesome in this picture, especially since she would probably actually wear one of those ridiculous shiny bonnet things. What do you think?

The street style blogger writes that the key to getting snapped by the likes of her, Tommy Ton, or the Sartorialist this season is to wear enormous furs, bizarre shoes, and something "WTF." {Garance Doré}
Predicting what the nominees will wear to the Oscars is trickier than picking the winners. There are probably over 100 amazing Oscar-worthy dresses that walk the runway each season, but the reality is that most celebs would rather stick with a safe choice than a fashion forward one. This year, however, the nominees have a better fashion history than most. Nicole Kidman has turned heads in Galliano and Balenciaga, Michelle Williams favors the up-and-coming crowd, and Hailee Steinfeld is not afraid to take a daring risk, be it in Prada or Prabal. Click through to see what I hope the nominees are wearing this Sunday.
