It could be a sign that the world is ending (December 21, folks, get ready!) but these days, there seem to be more celebrity couples getting engaged.
This was a banner year for weddings. We can't imagine that 2012 could possibly top it. From the three big K's (Kate, Kate, and Kim) to a few less-hyped but nonetheless gorgeous nuptials, it really was an amazing year for tying the knot. And at least 9 of the 10 featured here are still married. Hooray for love! Click through to remember the gowns, the grooms, and everything in between from the most fashionable weddings of the year.
The purple McQueen dress may have come as a bit of a surprise to those who expected to see a wedding dress on Kate Moss' September Vogue cover. Not to worry, though--there are dozens of wedding photos to be found inside of Kate and her glamorous guests. Terry Richardson's unofficial photos made Mosstock look like the most fun wedding ever, and Mario Testino's have pretty much confirmed that. The just-released official photos include Kate, Jamie, Carine Roitfeld, Daphne Guinness, Terry Richardson, Stella McCartney, Naomi Campbell and more all against the gorgeous backdrop of Kate's Costwolds home. There are a couple of editorial shots thrown in there as well--including (a very tasteful) one of Kate and her daughter, Lila, topless (Here's hoping that does not incite Thylane Blondeau-esque outrage). Click through for the amazingness.
Color us skeptical, but could Kate Moss be putting her famously well-guarded personal life to paper? The Sun--hence our skepticism--is reporting that the supermodel is writing a memoir at the urging of new hubby Jamie Hince, who is a "big reader" and apparently likes to write himself. Can you imagine how amazing this would be if it's actually happening? Her famous love affairs, her long tenure in the fashion industry, the addictions, her childhood. Kate's really had an interesting life by any measure. "She's never opened up about her parents' divorce, having daughter Lila or her relationships with former boyfriends including Johnny Depp and Pete Doherty," the Sun's source said. But here's the problem. Kate doesn't talk to anyone.
This looks like the most fun wedding reception ever. It probably was. Unofficial Mosstock photog Terry Richardson has been posting pics from last weekend's Kate Moss/Jamie Hince festivities on his blog all morning. They are so casual and unprofessional-looking, like he's just some dude uploading pics from someone's wedding onto Facebook except the bride is a supermodel all the guests are beautiful and famous.
Unless you decided to spend your long weekend under a rock, you probably know that Kate Moss married her longtime rocker boyfriend Jamie Hince in a private (at least more private than that other wedding), ceremony at her house in the Costwolds on Friday. Luckily, the matter of her dress was settled immediately after the ceremony with the release of these photos of her in Galliano (and the groom in YSL). And the designer did in fact attend the wedding, according to British Vogue. While the dress has gotten mixed reviews, British Vogue's Harriet Quick was a fan, writing: "It was a superb dress and pure Galliano--bias-cut, nostalgic and wonderful--a tribute to him. Moss returns to that waif we all fell in love with." Kate's maids of honor reportedly wore Stella McCartney and Erdem, while her younger bridesmaids wore frocks made by French children's clothing brand Bonpoint. McCartney also designed three post-wedding outfits--a first dance dress, an after-party dress and a white three-piece going away suit, which you can see below as she makes her way to the helicopter waiting to take her and Jamie to their honeymoon. According to the Mirror, one of the stops on said honeymoon will be Timbuktu, which Kate reportedly didn’t know was a real place. Click through for photos of Kate and Jamie at the alter, the wedding cake, Anna Wintour in an amazing Prada dress talking to Marc Jacobs and Kate leaving in her Stella suit, plus some pictures of Kate and Jamie in a hotel bed that recently went up on Terry's Diary. Thanks, Vogue Italia, Sam Mcknight, Bunnyshop, and Celebrity-Gossip!
Let's be honest, Kate Moss could have worn anything for her walk down the aisle with Jamie Hince and would have looked amazing. While her Galliano-designed dress is absolutely stunning, it is a rather safe choice for the risk-taking style icon. We've decided to bring you a roundup of all the best white looks from the runways, as a helpful comparison. Perhaps Moss should've gone a more wild route with a Viktor & Rolf creation or veered toward the classic in Narciso Rodriguez? Check out the white ensembles we've selected. And let us know if you like Moss' choice or think she could have gone more daring. And remember, there's still more Moss-mania to come - her reception dress is designed by Stella McCartney. Could it be one of the paillette options we've selected?
Mario Testino might have lensed Kate Middleton and Prince William's engagement photos, but only one Kate can get him to shoot her entire wedding.... The Daily, the iPad-only newspaper, reports that Testino will be Kate Moss' official photographer for her wedding to Jamie Hince on July 2. He told the paper that he wants to "capture the happiness that Kate is going through at the moment." Whatever that means, we're sure it'll look good.
Modeling school founder, jam maker, and now rock star? Now that Kate's wrapped her Topshop line, it seems she's game to try on many hats other than the supermodel one she wears so well. Last we heard, she said she would like to try opening a modeling school. Before that, it was fruit preserves, with her forthcoming Kate’s Damson Jams (still no word on when those jam jars will hit shelves). The latest? Moss is venturing into the music world to record her own album, the Daily Mail is reporting. Of course, it's not a world that's all too foreign for Moss--many of her boyfriends, including her current one, Jamie Hince, have been rockers. And she's dabbled in music before too, singing on stage with ex-boyfriend Pete Doherty at a charity gig in 2009, and guesting on tracks for Primal Scream and The Lemonheads. Most recently, she's Bryan Ferry's "Roxy Girl," the face of his latest album, Olympia, and is rumored to sing a duet with him on his next album.
Kate Moss and Jamie Hince, her boyfriend of three years, tied the knot this summer in a secret wedding in Sicily, the Mirror is reporting. According to British tab, Kate, 36 wed Kills' guitarist Jamie, 40, in a very low-key but very romantic ceremony on August 7th that culminated in dancing under the trees (“Minutes after tying the knot, the giggling newlyweds were outside the church, dancing under trees,” according to the Mirror's source). Kate was reportedly barefoot and wore a see-through gown, and her daughter Lila Grace was a ring bearer. Even though the ceremony was reportedly small with only close friends and family in attendance, after Kate and Jamie got hitched, locals from the town in Sicily joined in on the partying. More details according to the Mirror's "source":
