A little over a month ago, we broke the news that Ford had signed Kaela Humphries, Kris' little sister, to their plus-size modeling division. Not surprisingly, it hasn't taken long for the agency to find her work--and her first gig is a pretty big coup. Kaela stars in the latest campaign for The Limited's plus-sized line, Eloquii.

It could be a sign that the world is ending (December 21, folks, get ready!) but these days, there seem to be more celebrity couples getting engaged.
The Humphries name is back in the press, but this time it's for all the right reasons--and blessedly it's got nothing to do with Kim Kardashian: Kim K ex Kris Humphries' little sister Kaela has just been signed to Ford's Plus Size division. We first got to know Kaela on Kourtney and Kim Take New York where she always came off as sweet, sensible and utterly supportive of her bro. Oh, and totally gorgeous too. So we can't say we're surprised that it seems a fledgling career as a plus size model is in the cards for the brunette beauty. "She is a true size 16-18 and is going to be a fantastic asset to FORD," Gary Dakin, head of FORD's plus-size division, told us. And we agree--100%. This was a banner year for weddings. We can't imagine that 2012 could possibly top it. From the three big K's (Kate, Kate, and Kim) to a few less-hyped but nonetheless gorgeous nuptials, it really was an amazing year for tying the knot. And at least 9 of the 10 featured here are still married. Hooray for love! Click through to remember the gowns, the grooms, and everything in between from the most fashionable weddings of the year.
Ever since Carrie Bradshaw's fictional Vogue spread centered around a wedding she didn't end up going through with, we bet that's become every celebrity's worst nightmare: to do an advanced wedding-themed shoot for a mag and have the wedding never happen (it was a reality for Kristen Cavallari). However, in the case of next month's Marie Claire cover (which just surfaced on TFS), the wedding did happen. It's just that a divorce happened extremely soon after. The most intriguing thing about the cover, besides the fact that Kim Kardashian looks uncharacteristically natural (and pretty) is that the headline reads 'What Went On in Her Crazy Marriage.' The past tense implies that the interview was conducted after Kim's marriage to Kris Humphries went south. However, Kim only filed for divorce 10 days ago. Is this further proof that Kim and Kris' relationship was staged? And that this magazine cover story was yet another opportunity for multiple parties to cash in on it?
Yesterday a group of about thirty or so people gathered to 'mourn' the end of Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries' 'marriage'. Sigh, the world we live in. Apparently, someone posted this ad on Craigslist, announcing that a vigil for the end of the Humphries-Kardashian marriage would be held in front of the Kardashian's NYC Dash store in SoHo, at 4:15 yesterday. "It's a sad day," the ad read. Surprisingly, according to Buzzfeed, several people showed up, even toting homemade signs, lit candles and flowers.
So, as you've no doubt heard by now, Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries are getting divorced after just 72 days of being married. Kim confirmed her divorce to her overlord producer Ryan Seacrest earlier today and TMZ has the docs to prove it which cite "irreconcilable differences". In a statement Kim said, “After careful consideration, I have decided to end my marriage. I hope everyone understands this was not an easy decision. I had hoped this marriage was forever, but sometimes things don’t work out as planned. We remain friends and wish each other the best.“ Her soon-to-be ex Kris Humphries appears to have been blindsided by the news, having released his own statement to TMZ saying, "I love my wife and am devastated to learn she filed for divorce...I'm willing to do whatever it takes to make it work." Yeah, yeah, yeah. We don't believe any of it. At this point, don't you feel a little taken? After the reported $18 million Kardashian and Ko. are estimated to have made off the wedding from television rights, photo placements, advertising and product placements, it's hard not to see our 'royal' wedding as one big money making scam. And we bet the vendors involved, including Vera Wang who personally appeared in E!'s wedding special and designed Kim's three wedding dresses, are none too pleased about how this is going down either.
Last night punky pop singer Avril Lavigne showed her Abbey Dawn collection of "Music is My BF" tees, "Hell Yeah" wedge booties, and "Heartcore" dresses at the Metropolitan Pavilion as part of Style 360's collection of shows during New York fashion week. But the show wasn't about the mall-rat-ready clothes. It was about the Kardashian's. Kylie Jenner, 14, one of the youngest members of the Kardashian crew walked in the show (despite the CFDA's guidelines suggesting models be at least 16), and most of her famous family came out to support her. Kourtney, Kim, and Kim's new husband Kris Humphries were all there. So was Kylie' half-brother Brody Jenner, who also happens to date the "designer." (I guess music isn't Avril's BF?). Once the paparazzi scrum receded and the flashbulbs stopped popping, the Kardashian's cheered their sister on like any normal family as she walked the runway. They screamed, took photos, and when she closed the show, threw a bouquet at her. And when the show was over, their security swooped in, and the family was escorted backstage, trailed by paparazzi--a not-normal family once again. Check out more photos of Kylie on the catwalk and her famous family.
People Mag shelled out $1.5 million for the exclusive rights to run the first photos from America's 'Royal Wedding' and a site called Glamazonsblog (that we found via the Gloss) took the time to scan them onto the internet for all of us to gawk at. Here's a look at the three (yes three) wedding dresses Kim wore, plus more close-up photos of the beaming bride and groom, snaps of the bridal party and celebrity guests, and detail shots of Kim's millions in bling (according to the New York Post she was wearing $10 million in diamonds). Which one of Kim's Vera Wang gowns do you like best?
Since their epic wedding, many media sources have referred to Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries as "Hollywood Royalty," which got us thinking: What exactly does Hollywood Royalty mean today? Certainly not as much as it used to. I'll explain: Our grandparents got Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall, our parents got Steve McQueen and Ali MacGraw and we get...The Kardashians? Somehow, it just doesn't seem fair. It's not that the relationships of yore were so much more wholesome (half of them started when one or both parties were married to other people) but it's that they seemed to have that X factor--a heady mix of glamour, mystery and money. The Kardashians certainly have one of those, but really, do they make the cut as "Hollywood Royalty"? And if they do, what does that say about our generation? Click through for a visual guide to the de-evolution of Hollywood Royalty couples.
With their ubiquitous last names and increasingly public lives, the Kardashians may be one of the closest things we have to royalty in the states. I know, it's a sad truth. The comparison has been especially relevant lately since Kim's extravagant nuptials to NBA player Kris Humphries last weekend, which was basically our royal wedding. Of course, in this scenario, Kris is the one who married into royalty, which is why his friends have apparently started calling him Kate Middleton, Page Six reports. Cute nickname, Kris! It's a legitimate comparison, though. Like Middleton, Kris will be spending a lot more time in the public eye and will need to step up his look. As of now, his status as a style icon is uncertain. Hopefully he can handle the pressure.
Kim Kardashian and NBA player Kris Humphries exchanged vows and Lorraine Schwartz wedding bands in front of 450 guests in a reportedly $10 million ceremony on a private estate in Montecito, CA Saturday. (Of course, Kardashian Ink., made $18 million off the wedding, the New York Post is reporting, so they still came out with a profit). We may not know exactly how those vows sounded and looked until E!'s two-part special, set to air October 9 and 10. But, we already have an idea of of what Kim and her family wore. Kim, who we've known for a while would wear Vera Wang, chose a strapless ball gown with full tulle skirt and basque waist with hand-pieced Chantilly lace applique on the bodice and train. Pretty! Bridesmaids Khloe, Kourtney, Kendall and Kylie also wore long strapless white gowns, as did the mother of the bride--though hers had a gigantic white bow on the front. The groom wore an Ermenegildo Zegna tuxedo with a white jacket and tie. Mason Disick also wore white and was easily one of the wedding's best dressed, if you ask us. Official wedding photos will be in the September 5 issue of People, which hits newsstands Friday. For now click through for all the video and photos all courtesy of E!.
