Does the so-called "Hermès of marijuana" want to also become the Estée Lauder of it?
Panels on timely topics like sexuality and cannabis overshadowed the wacky, out-there subject matter of its inaugural event.

There are so many ways to wear pants next season. Let Solange, Maria Sharapova and Jordana Brewster show you how.
If we were ladies who lunch, this is how we'd dress.
Paris fashion week ended with Chanel, Louis Vuitton and Miu Miu each drawing their own stylish front rows.

“So much better than last year” was the chorus heard time and time again at the Whitney Art Party and auction last night at Skylight at Moynihan Station. Presented by MaxMara, with co-chairs Maria Giulia Maramotti (MaxMara's director of retail, and granddaughter of the brand's founder), entrepreneur Hannah Bronfman, and actress/model Nichole Galicia, the event managed to raise over $450,000 for the Whitney’s Independent Study Program. A fashion brand getting behind an art institution; we support that.
We love gawking at street style , but the front rows were also filled with well-heeled celebs whose outfits were equally worthy of our attention this past New York Fashion Week. Emma Stone, Elle Fanning, Cate Blanchett , Sarah Jessica Parker and more hit the red carpet for Elle's 'Women in Hollywood' event. They embraced color and we liked it. Click through to see what everyone wore.

As if Sam Ronson's hard-working sister Charlotte didn’t have enough on her plate (her I Heart Ronson line for JCPenney sells like hotcakes for the mass market, while her own namesake collection is gearing up to debut at Fashion Week in a matter of weeks), the designer darling is ambitiously expanding to beauty as well. With a tagline like ‘effortless beauty, under any spotlight’, the Charlotte Ronson beauty collection will launch in a Sephora near you this September. This week, a smattering of Hollywood’s hottest It-girls (and, quite conveniently, Ronson’s best gal pals) including Nicole Richie, Paris Hilton, Nicky Hilton, Rashida Jones, Kidada Jones, Mindy Kaling, Monet Mazur, Drea de Matteo and Lake Bell crowded into Il Sole (one of Ronson’s self-declared favorite haunts in L.A.) to fete the new collection and dabble with the pretty eye shadow palettes, shiny lip glosses and face luminizers on display; while simultaneously noshing on decadent plates of burrata, truffle pasta and dover sole. (Sidenote, we also spied Sam Ronson sneakily ordering off the menu in between courses.) As for the products, Ronson smartly named several of them after the starlets themselves, which will surely boost sales.
We queued up to chat with Lake Bell last night at Target's GO International celebration because we thought she was HILAR in No Strings Attached. (A seriously good movie, despite what the guy on TaxiTV says.) We also wanted to grill the actress on her personal style, because unlike many of her peers, she actually has some.
I'm not a party animal in any sense of that silly little phrase, but I do love a well-planned soiree. Especially when there's a mix of shopping, "good" celebs, awesome food, and fantastic entertainment. Target accomplished that delicate balance last evening at the Ace Hotel, where the store threw a bash with Opening Ceremony celebrating the fifth anniversary of GO International.
