A real throwback, in honor of New York Fashion Week.
This is the ideal summer tan look (but keep the tan faux, please!).
Who said you can't wear black and brown together?
And Kim Kardashian is celebrating 34 with boobs.
...and Kristen Stewart has weird orange hair.
In case you missed it, here's a look back at the week's biggest fashion stories.
It's like all of our teenage dreams -- and simultaneously, all of our teenage nightmares -- are coming true.
Katy Perry took to Twitter to share her easy, breezy, beautiful new CoverGirl campaign poster. Doesn't she look purrrty? {Twitter} Looks like there's some fashion trubs brewing in the Kardashian-West household: Kim and "control freak" Kanye are reportedly fighting over what her new baby clothes line should look like. {Radar Online} And in other Kim K news, her engagement ring from ex-hubby Kris Humphries sold for a paltry $749,000 at a Christie's auction held yesterday. {US Weekly} If there's one thing we've learned from stalking following Kate Middleton's outfits, it's that the Duchess knows a good bargain when she sees it. Find out her royal highness's shopping secrets from author and "sale guru" Mark Ellwood. {Daily Mail}
Talk about a model apartment: Cara Delevingne and Georgia May Jagger are reportedly moving in together. Need another roomie? {Telegraph} Zac Posen is launching a new contemporary line called Zac Zac Posen--complete with more cocktail dresses and a more wallet-friendly price point than his main line, but a bit more dear than his ZSpoke range. {Vogue UK} Seth Cohen and Blair Waldorf Adam Brody and Leighton Meester are allegedly dating. Our teenage hearts are exploding with both envy and excitement. {HuffPo} Something old, something new, something borrowed, something... Som? Anthropologie has scooped up Peter Som to create a bridal collection in the first of a series of designer collabs for its BHLDN line. {WWD}
It's no secret that, aside from those gratuitous teenage sex scenes set to One Republic and Blake Lively's cleavage, the best part of Gossip Girl was Blair Waldorf's headbands. And now, for the low low price of $4,000... they can all be yours.
Kate Middleton can now add a new title to her already-distinguished name: The Duchess of Campbridge has been voted Britain's most naturally beautiful woman. {In Style UK} Marion Cotillard continues her world tour as the face of Lady Dior. Next stop: The Hamptons! After having starred in campaigns shot in Paris, New York, Shanghai, London and Los Angeles, the actress was lensed by Jean-Baptiste Mondino on the beach in the Hamptons for Lady Dior's latest campaign. {WWD} Forever 21 is in legal trouble again--though this time it's not for violating intellectual property rights. The US Department of Labor has served the fast fashion retailer with a subpoena, after they failed to turn over pertinent documents concerning the labor practices of their apparel contractors and manufacturers. The documents were originally requested because investigators found some goods were being manufactured in "sweatshop-like conditions." {WWD}
It's official: The series finale of Gossip Girl is a mere eleven episodes away. While many a cynic may argue that the show actually ended sometime during the second season, for us die-hard Upper East Side wannabes, this news is harder hitting than a Nairtini to the head. Of course, what we'll miss most of all is the fashion. Gossip Girl has been on top of the fashion game since its first "XOXO" way back in early 2007, and as the series progressed, the characters' signature styles arguably surpassed the plot development in terms of critical praise. Between Blair's preppy headbands, Chuck's dandy suits, and Serena's gravity-defying cleavage, the influence the kids of Constance have had on street style and fashion spreads alike is undeniable. So, as a tearful ode to our favorite CW soap, here's a look back at some of the style stand-outs that have made the last five years of impossible-to-follow plot lines a little more bearable.
Court docs show that Diana Wang's class action lawsuit against Harper's Bazaar may not actually be so strong after all. Oops! {BuzzFeed} Are you (C) Wondering what happened at the grand opening of C. Wonder's new Time Warner locale? Kelly Rutherford pogo-sticked, Karina Smirnoff sat on a giant teddy bear, and a fab time was had by all! {Fashionista Inbox} Is this the end of adventures in copyright? A new design piracy bill could protect designers against knock-offs for up to three years. {WWD} Model Maggie Rizer's golden retriever Bea died on a United Airlines flight and Maggie is really, really mad. And sad. So are we. That's just so, so sad. RIP, Bea. {E!}

Once designed for women with budgets in polar opposition to mine, women about to take off on a fantastical and lavish holiday, resort collections were also secondary occurrences to their ready-to-wear sibling, dignified with a lookbook at best. Last night in Paris, Salvatore Ferragamo went quite radically the other way. The Florentine label, sponsors of the current Leonardo da Vinci exhibition at the Louvre, used the opportunity to throw a lavish runway show at the museum, with a couture-worthy casting and front row.
“Before the show I dressed like a homeless person. I used to buy everything at garage sales. It was hard to give up! I’d be like, ‘But this crazy sweater is amazing, and it only cost 25 cents!'” --Leighton Meester to Lucky on her thrifty pre-Gossip Girl wardrobe. With Blair Waldorf and the other Upper East Siders (and of course, that lowly Brooklynite Dan) going on a permanent Hamptons holiday after next season--sobbing, btw--will Leighton be returning to her hobo ways?

more We got so caught up with fashion week, we nearly forgot to pay attention to the red carpet. Nearly. And of course, the front row is a red carpet
Marc Jacobs Uses Underage Models, Defies CFDA Guidelines: Much like the crazy nastyass honey badger, Marc Jacobs just don't care about the CFDA's proposed guidelines to ban models under age 16 from the runway, despite the fact that Jacobs is a member of the organization. In brazen defiance, Jacobs used at least two models who had potentially just completed their bat mitzvah's, stating "If their parents are willing to let them do a show, I don’t see any reason that it should be me who tells them that they can’t." Whatever, whatever, Marc does what he wants! {NY Times} New Designers Struggle to Get Notice at NYFW: Not all designers can get Anna Wintour (or even George Lucas) in the front row. Take a look into the world of the new and talented designers who can't yet afford a runway at Lincoln Center, or a professional makeup artist for that matter. {NY Mag} Bar Rafaeli Felt Flabby in Sports Illustrated: The lingerie model-turned-designer says she felt fat and flabby posing with professional athletes for the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue. In the poignant word of Michelle Tanner: "Puh-lease." {NY Mag}
Last night storied French footwear label Roger Vivier threw a cocktail party at their Upper East side store to celebrate their fall winter "Uptown-Downtown" collection as well as limited edition collection "Rendez-Vous." Creative director Bruno Frisoni's creations for the brand--particularly the "Rendez-Vous" collection which he described as "Rock! Think Keith Richards"--nearly outshone all the fashion starlets who turned out to sip champagne and shoe-drool. Leighton Meester was there, and so were industry darlings Annabelle Dexter-Jones, Marie Amelie Sauve, Hamish Bowles, Hanne Gabe Odiele, Emily Weiss and Leandra Medine. Plus Alexandra Richards was DJing. Needless to say, it was a very chic event. We caught Meester, who looked lovely in sequined J.Mendel, Vivier accessories and Bulgari jewels, staring distractedly at some studded Vivier boots so we seized the moment to check in with the Gossip Girl star.
