As you've probably heard, Jay-Z released his new album Magna Carta Holy Grail this week and it includes the much buzzed about new song "Tom Ford," in which the iconic designer's name is mentioned multiple times, including in the line “I don’t pop Molly, I rock Tom Ford” (as in Molly the drug). People have mixed opinions about the album and the song (we were not that impressed with the way Ford was folded into the song), but who really cares about anyone's opinion other than Tom Ford's?
We hate to say it--but while Jay-Z might be the greatest mc of all time, "Tom Ford" is not the greatest song of all time. Granted, we're not hip hop experts, but we do tend to take notice when fashion is mentioned in music, and this song just doesn't seem fair to Tom Ford.
