It's finally here: The Fashionista March Madness match-up that settles once and for all which show was the best of Fall 2013.
This is it: The Final Four of our March Madness competition. It's New York versus Milan and London versus Paris--who can move on to the championship game?
Our Fashionista March Madness competition is heating up! Yesterday, Marc Jacobs and Prada triumphed in their respective cities. Today, Christopher Kane takes on mega-power Burberry in London and Celine takes on Raf Simons's winning streak at Dior to finish of the Elite Eight.
Fashionista's March Madness tournament is down to the Elite Eight.
Now, the giants of Paris will take each other on. Some of the biggest names of fashion are in the mix--Celine, Louis Vuitton, Chloe, and Dior all made the bracket. They're our closest match-ups yet!
Out of all the cities in our March Madness Bracket, the nominations for London were the most erratic. Unlike cities New York or Milan, where clear front-runners emerged, the race for London was tight--which lead to some disappointing losses, including fan-favorite Simone Rocha. The players who were lucky enough to make the tourney--Christopher Kane, Preen, Burberry, and Jonathan Saunders--will now duke it out to the next round.
Today, it's round one for Milan, where Italian powerhouses Dolce & Gabbana and Versace will go head-to-head and Max Mara will attempt to take down the Prada Goliath.
We're kicking off our March Madness tournament where it all started: New York. It's a strong line-up, with heavy hitters like Marc Jacobs and Proenza Schouler battling it out against the smaller-but-still-luxe collections of Derek Lam and The Row. The ball is officially in the air--who will get the jump off?
We here at Fashionista aren't all that into basketball--but we are really into fashion.
