Need some last minute inspiration? Why not steal an idea from our favorite fashion designers? (We won't tell.)
Carly Cushnie and Michelle Ochs are the dynamic duo behind the uber successful line Cushnie et Ochs--nominated for the prestigious Swarovski Award at yesterday's CFDA Awards. Cushnie and Ochs, who are gorgeous to boot, attended the awards with Karlie Kloss, whom they called their "tall statue of a date." Over the weekend we bumped into the two at the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic and asked them to address the longstanding rumors that the two are actually a couple, among other things. Here's what they had to say:
The 2013 CFDA awards, fashion's Oscars if you will, will be handed out in mere hours. The industry has been gathering to recognize and honor its leading talents since 1981. A lot has changed since the early years of the awards. What was once a small intimate industry event is now a widely covered celebrity event. "I think it reflects a broader shift over the last few years where fashion has become more and more popular," Style.com's editor in chief Dirk Standen told us. "The internet has had a lot to do with that. It's entertainment on a par with movies and music." So to prep you for tonight's awards we've assembled this handy primer. In it you'll find the complete list of nominees, our predictions on who will take home the big prizes, and all the celebrity presenters and attendees slated to show up.
Before they gather together at the June 3 CFDA Award ceremony, the nine 2013 CFDA Swarovski Award Nominees partied last night at New York boutique Fivestory to celebrate their noms and unveil one of a kind works of art.

The most stylish stars and fashion insiders showed up and showed out for last night's CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards. While most attendees opted for looks from the honorees (there was lots Cushnie et Ochs, Suno, and Altuzarra on the step and repeat) Anna Wintour repeated a favorite Marni look and Hamish Bowles looked divinely dandy in...jeans. Check out fashion's finest.
The past four days have been a non-stop party for a lot of fashion people here in New York. And those Halloween parties have been well-documented. The Tribeca Grand's Overlook Hotel party, the Boom Boom Room's fete and last night's V party hosted by Terry Richardson drew the most fashion-heavy crowds and, as we all know, fashion people like to dress up. They also seem to like obscure references--many of their costumes were tough to identify, but still fun to look at. So, from Alexa Chung to Joan Smalls to Marc Jacobs, here are a bunch of fashion people in their Halloween best! Photos: Terry's Diary, Paper, Style.com, BFA
