The red (er, blue) carpet was like a giant party, and all your faves dressed for the occasion.
Kristen Stewart Is Smokin' On GQ UK: In a black high-waisted bikini and matching noir toenail polish, Stewart looks sexy and sophisticated--a welcome change from her usual sulky-teenager look. {The Frisky} Glenda Bailey Honored By France: The French government is honoring the Harper's Bazaar editor with the Chevalier of the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres, an award given to artists who significantly aid the arts in France. {WWD} The Row's $39,000 Backpack Sold Out: It was apparently the first item to go from their new handbag line. Yeah, this doesn't make sense to us either. {WWD} Is Daphne Guinness Launching A Film Company? Rumor has it, yes. Every year Time magazine publishes its list of the 100 most influential people in the world. What’s great about this list is that it’s not all heads of state and scientists. Time acknowledges pop culture's influence on the world. Fashion doesn’t always get a mention, but this year a heavy-hitter got a nod from the mag. Tom Ford was honored, along with the people you would expect to be on this type of list, like Mark Zuckerberg and Julian Assange. Tom has obviously had quite a stellar few years, what with the growth of his beauty business, his luxe menswear, a directorial debut, and last year’s much-hyped return to women’s RTW. Rita Wilson, who frequently writes gushy things about Tom, did not disappoint in her Time tribute to him. She starts with this: “Thomas Carlyle Ford. Even his given name reflects the elegance with which it would become synonymous.” You get the idea. WWD noted that "Ford is the only fashion industry player to make this year’s list," but we beg to differ.
