With the hordes of photographers outside of Fashion Month shows growing exponentially each season, it takes a lot of hustle -- or some top-tier name recognition -- to turn shooting street style from a hobby into a lucrative business.
The founder of The Sartorialist says that in some ways, the growing numbers of street style bloggers make his life easier.

Justin Timberlake is flaunting his super studliness all over the cover of T Magazine. {T} Iconic fashion photographer Peter Lindbergh believes that the era of the supermodel is over. Don't tell Karlie... {Telegraph} Speaking of, Karlie Kloss has confirmed that her model pal Cara Delevingne flew in yesterday to catch the last day of New York Fashion Week (Marc Jacobs, perhaps?). Maybe the fact that she apparently finds fashion week "horrible" explains her absence thusfar... {Grazia and Glamour UK}

Scott Schuman and Garance Doré may feel that street style is on its way out--but if the authors of the new how-to book about street style have anything to say about it, it's only just beginning.
Guess what? We're still. not. done. talking about the future of street style. And according to OG street style bloggers Garance Doré and Scott Schuman, things may be about to change...for the worse.
Garance Doré is one of fashion's OG bloggers--and she's not going anywhere anytime soon. In addition to adding video and encompassing broader topics on her blog (but always making sure to maintain her accessible, candid voice), Doré has been able to monetize by working with brands on various campaigns. Her latest project for Superga, the cult-favorite Italian sneaker label under the creative direction of the Olsen twins, saw her team up with her partner and fellow blogger Scott Schuman on a beautiful campaign featuring beautiful people wearing the famed kicks. It's not the first time the two have worked together (they even work out of the same studio) but we wanted to ask: How does the collaboration work? How do they choose their projects? Do they ever fight? So we hopped on the phone for some answers--and got more than we bargained for. Doré is working on her first book and she told us all about it.
Happy Valentine's Day! In honor of this oft-dreaded, always-candy-filled day, we've rounded up the coolest—and most powerful—couples working in fashion. Click through to read all about them, and let us know: who's your favorite fashion couple?
Most people remember the leather leggings from Rodarte's last show. Not me. I remember covertly pressing the show notes into my right knee, desperately trying to stop the bleeding. Let me explain:
Kristen Stewart said something nice! About fashion! We wish she would stop wearing sneaks on the red carpet, but we'll take what we can get. {HuffPo} Hilary Duff is really benefiting from those prenatal vitamins, as she was able to give up something beloved by all Hollywood starlets: Her hair extensions. {US Weekly} Scott Schuman, the man behind the Sartoralist, sounds like he might possibly be the hardest person ever to shop for. {Refinery29}
Whether he's talking about how much money his blog makes, criticizing Tavi's success, or wondering (aloud) why anyone would work in print, Scott Schuman is not exactly known for his discretion or tact. Recently, Schuman turned this famous, erm, candor, on one of the fashion industry's most beloved characters: Bill Cunningham.
Now You Too Can Dress Like an Editor: Is your style more of a downtown-cool Miroslava Duma, or Carine Roiteld sex bomb? We'll show you how to dress like your favorite editors looking effortlessly amazing at fashion week--and where to get the goods. Baiting Street Style Photographers: Behold, our completely unscientific--though thoroughly LOL-worthy--fashion week experiment: Street style bait. It involves the wearing of brain wave-controlled cat ears at Lincoln Center. You've been warned! Best in Show, London Fashion Week: London Fashion Week, we hardly knew ye. See which Brit shows had the critics going nutso, and the 10 collections that made our short but oh-so-sweet 'week' across the pond even sweeter.
Street style's a hot topic lately. So we thought after that Times profile blowing the lid off the subject and revealing how contrived and and monetizing the whole medium has become, we'd chat with pioneering street style photographer Scott Schuman (again) and get his perspective on something that he, in a way, helped create.
As someone who both wears outfits that street style photographers' dreams are made of, and also possesses a brain, Medine offers an interesting perspective.
Young, fun and somewhat off-kilter, Marc by Marc's clothes were styled this season with so many layers that it almost recalled an NYC baglady--or a sleep-deprived, scruffy college kid.
