And if homeboy comes through with those, is he gonna like… get it?

Jennifer Connelly is a Shiseido Spokeswoman Again, 30 Years Later: The Labrynth co-star is reprising her role as the global face of the Japanese makeup and skincare line - she also appeared in their "Perky Jeans" ad campaign in the '80s. Jen's new campaign for Shiseido will be for its Future Solution LX premium skin care line - which sadly doesn't quite have the same awesome ring to it as "Perky Jeans." {Styleite} LVMH and Dior In Pretty Good Shape: As the global economy grows, so have people's spending habits: LVMH sales have gained 20.4% in the fourth quarter and Dior's revenues have advanced 22%. Luxury brands seem to be increasing in profit and revenue in pretty much every major market sector save for Japan, where last year's devastating natural disasters affected far more than the spending habits of the wealthy. {WWD subscription required} Lisa Perry's Spring Collection is 'Mad About Mod': The designer hosted an intimate luncheon yesterday to celebrate her new '60s-inspired collection, which features mod accents and groovy pop-art inspired prints. Skechers has announced that the star of its newest sneaker commercials will be none other than... a cute and cuddly French bulldog. Sorry Kim, looks like this bitch has got the last laugh. Or woof. {People} Annabel Tollman Personifies Underwear in Calvin Klein Webisodes: Calvin Klein Underwear has teamed up with the stylist on a series of webisodes for its new "Naked Glamour" campaign. The three roughly-minute and a half long spots feature Tollman dressing models for a shoot, describing each bra style as the foundation of a character's look: Confident, Sexy, and Strong. Tollman says she "wanted to encapsulate that moment of self-creation that we all go through [when getting dressed]" - seems like a lot of pressure for a bra! {WWD}
Yesterday, we reported that Skechers could pay up to $75 Million for claiming that their Shape-up shoes would "tone" and strengthen legs and butt. It wasn't exactly surprising and turned out to be yet another addition to the list of shady products that Kim Kardashian has tied her name to. Based solely on her business dealings, the girl has a seriously bad habit of lending her name to scams, counterfeits and other dubious business going-ons. Of course, her 72-day marriage and rampant overexposure don't exactly help her case for business integrity. We did some digging and found out that, in total, Kim's name has been attached to at least nine shady business deals over the past couple of years. From lying about sponsored tweets to kopykat issues, click through for a look back at Kim's shadiest endorsements.
The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is cracking down on false advertising claims, and toning shoes have been its latest target. Back in September, Reebok had to pay $25 million in refunds to consumers for making false claims about the benefits of its so-called toning shoes. Skechers is next up for scrutiny, and the company is bracing itself for having to make a large payout. Footwear News reports that the FTC and agencies in other countries are still investigating claims made by the company about its ShapeUps toning shoes. And even Skechers acknowledges that it may be in trouble.
It’s never too early to get a perky, toned butt. Skechers now offers their (in)famous toning sneakers, Shape Ups, for little girls. (Thanks to the sharp eyes over at The Frisky for picking up on this one--take a peek at the commercial over there.) Eight-year-olds are already getting Botox and using sophisticated makeup, so of course we need to focus on toning them up now. How else will they score a recording contract? The commercial shows some typical cartoon “cool girls” in a rock band wearing Shape Ups and singing about how “she’s got the height/got the bounce/yeah she’s looking good.” While they don’t specifically say anything about toning in the commercial, the tag line is “Get fit.” The end of the commercial shows the girls being followed around by a bunch of goofy-looking boys unfathomably dressed like food (think hot dogs and cupcakes--I can’t even begin to dissect what THAT imagery is supposed to mean.)
The World’s Top Earning Models: Gisele earned a whopping $45 million last year. Heidi Klum followed far behind at $20 million. Other top earners include Kate Moss, Adriana Lima, Lara Stone, and Candice Swanepoel. It definitely pays to be a Victoria’s Secret Angel. {Forbes} Galliano Is Suing His Ex-Lawyer For Stealing $4 Million:As if John Galliano doesn't have enough legal woes, he's now suing ex-attorney Stephane Zerbib on the accusation that he stole $4 million from the designer.
