Kate Upton heats up Hot Pockets's latest ad with Snoop Lion (formerly Dogg) as they wax poetic about microwaveable meat pastries in a trippy parody of Biz Markie's "Just a Friend." {US Weekly} Alexa Chung's writing process for her book It involved a One Direction onesie. Back in October, we asked the question: After years of increasingly complicated nail art trends, could Chanel make the basic French manicure cool again? Now, three months later, we think we finally have the answer. No, Chanel could not revive the fallen French mani. But Snoop Dogg Lion can.
Remember back in August when WWD spotted Karl Lagerfeld in St. Tropez filming a music video with French electro-pop artist Jean Roch and LBC native S
Okay, so maybe we haven't been waiting for a collaboration between Karl Lagerfeld and Snoop Dogg, but that's only because we never thought it was within the realm of possibility. Apparently it totally is. Karl is spending some time in his favorite vacay spot Saint Tropez and has been shooting a music video there with Jean-Roch, a local nightlife impresario who recorded a song with Snoop Dogg fittingly called, "St-Tropez." According to WWD, Lagerfeld shot a scene at 7am in a cafe called Senequier wearing head-to-toe white (because what else do you wear in Saint Tropez when you're Karl Lagerfeld?). We knew the French beach town was a big celebrity destination but who knew Karl and Snoop Dogg ran in the same circles?
Remember when David Beckham made a guest appearance on Snoop Dogg's short-lived reality show Father Hood back in 2007? No? It was a good episode. Snoop wanted Beckham to teach his kids how to play soccer. Anyway. Apparently the two have kept up a friendship of sorts and now the rapper wants to team up with the footballer on a line of baby clothes. “I’d love to do a Babygro range and baby house shoes with Beckham," Snoop told the UK's the Daily Mirror (though we doubt he actually said Babygro as that's a British-ism--we call it a onesie). “It’s going to be fly. It’s great news they are having a baby.” Victoria Beckham has always been the only designer in the family--despite rumors that her husband was getting into the rag trade.
Yes, you read that right. Snoop Dogg has collaborated with Adidas on a sneaker "inspired by his love of Los Angeles and the LA Lakers." The rapper recently showed them off during the video shoot for his track "Purp and Yellow," which is also, it seems, about his love for the Lakers. According to the release, the shoe is "designed in black leather with gold and purple detailing, along with the signature Snoop Dog eyes adorning the tongue of the shoe. Snoop’s signature eyes were inspired from his Doggystyle album cover art circa 1993." The kicks, called the "Adidas Originals x Snoop Dogg for All-Star Weekend" launches February 11 and will retail for $90. Check them out.
