In news that does not surprise us at all, the always-stylish Rachel Bilson will be the next celebrity to partner with BeachMint on a new ecommerce site. Bilson follows fellow actresses-cum-designers Kate Bosworth (JewelMint) and Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen (StyleMint) and singer Jessica Simpson (BeautyMint) in collaborating with the social commerce platform. Like Kate, Rachel is working with her friend and stylist Nicole Chavez. And since jewelry, tees and beauty products are all covered, they're doing footwear! The site, which is set to launch in November, will be called ShoeMint and they are partnering with Steve Madden on affordable shoes. We love Rachel's style and have to admit we kind of saw this coming--she was JewelMint's first guest curator and like Kate, Rachel is one of those actresses who, regardless of whether or not she's working on anything, is constantly in magazines and gossip blogs because of what she's wearing. I mean, her most memorable acting role is still The O.C., which ended in 2007 and she hasn't really fallen off our radar since. Though, her new show Hart of Dixie seems promising (right?).

BeachMint is having a very, very good year. In October 2010, the internet start-up partnered with Kate Bosworth and celebrity stylist Cher Coulter to launch JewelMint--a members-only site that sells exclusively-designed jewelry by Bosworth and Coulter. Then, in July 2011, BeachMint launched StyleMint--a similar shopping platform, except this time with the Olsens shilling t-shirts. Now, WWD, is reporting that the online powerhouse is ready for its next venture: Beauty. BeachMint is partnering with Jessica Simpson and celebrity aesthetician Nerida Joy to sell anti-aging skincare using the same retail model as JewelMint and StyleMint.
Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen's latest promotional video for Stylemint advertises their "August T Moment" contest, wherein you submit a photo or video of yourself wearing a t-shirt and showing how you "keep cool" and are entered to win a year's worth of free Stylemint tees. Here, Mary-Kate and Ashley show us how they keep cool--by splashing each other with water in a kiddy pool. As former megafans of Mary-Kate & Ashley videos, we couldn't help but be reminded of some of their earlier work that had similar themes.

The usually well-coiffed Robert Pattinson shaved half his head for his role in the upcoming film Cosmopolis, which is apparently about "a young man who makes an odyssey across Manhattan in order to get a haircut." Wait, really? {People Style Watch} Rachel Zoe launched a Tumblr! The mega stylist/reality TV star jumped on the Tumblr bandwagon yesterday. So far, the content is mostly about her clothing line, including a behind-the-scenes video. She must have found out about ours and realized she needed to get on it. Lindsay Lohan's on Italian Vanity Fair: Lindsay Lohan's first post-house arrest magazine cover is out and it's the latest issue of Italian Vanity Fair, which hit newstands today. Lohan is also rumored to cover September's American Vanity Fair, so we guess Conde Nast has no problem putting the same girl on the covers of international versions of the same magazine two months in a row. {Vanity Fair Italy} More Behind-the-Scenes With the Olsens and Sally Lyndley: In the second behind the scenes video for Mary-Kate and Ashley's Stylemint photo shoot, the twins discuss why they chose model Tati Cotliar, photographer Terry Richardson and stylist Sally Lyndley, who also talks about her inspiration for the shoot. {Stylelist} Teenagers are buying couture: It's easy to forget that some people attend couture shows with the intention of actually buying things. As the couture business continues to change and evolve, so are its customers. Young girls and royals from the middle and far east have become typical couture clients. {Telegraph UK}

Stylemint officially launches tomorrow, July 1, meaning members can expect their $30 personally recommended, Olsen-approved t-shirts any day now. There are three solid crew neck tees, two striped v-necks, two lightweight henleys and one heather grey tee that bears the phrase "No...is a full sentence." Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen's StyleMint--which is like JewelMint, but for t-shirts--launches July 1. In a lead up to the debut, StyleMint has put together an animated "fashion statement" which tracks the history of the t-shirt, featuring iconic images from era's past. Why is StyleMint so significant? Well, the Olsens aren't just curating this t-shirt of the month boutique like Sienna Miller and Kate Bosworth have done for JewelMint, they've partnered with the company. BeachMint, the Santa Monica-based tech startup, just raised $23.5 million at a rumored $150 million valuation. Which means, if this venture is successful, the Olsens stand to make a good chunk of cash. We've already signed here up for StyleMint. Are you going to?
The juggernaut that is the Olsen twins refuses to stop. Mary-Kate and Ashley are now throwing their big, floppy hats into the interactive e-commerce arena with a new venture, WWD reports today. StyleMint, which launches this July, will work the same way as jewelry site JewelMint, which boasts Kate Bosworth and her stylist Cher Coulter as partners. It’s basically a 21st century “of-the-month” club, but with personalized recommendations that get more specific the more you buy. You register as a member and fill out style quizzes so that the site can tailor purchase suggestions for you--WWD likens it to the algorithms used by Pandora. You can also link to Facebook and Twitter through the site to garner opinions from your friends and followers.
