Abbey Lee Kershaw Continues Her Comeback, Miley Cyrus Shops for Chanel, and The Carrie Diaries Casts Young Samantha Jones
The Carrie Diaries has cast its young Samantha Jones--and judging by the actress's photo, they've already done a better job than casting Carrie, in the physical sense, anyway--no offense to AnnaSophia Robb, but we all know she doesn't look like Sarah Jessica Parker in the slightest. {E! Online} Abbey Lee Kershaw continues her triumphant modeling comeback in shiny animal skins for Gucci's Fall 2013 campaign. {Fashion Gone Rogue} Expect to see a lot more bright yellow in shopping areas near you--Kate Spade Saturday is planning a huge expansion (and will probably surpass big sister, regular Kate Spade). {WWD, subscription required} Acting out the fantasy of broke people everywhere, Maxine Hargreaves-Adams has swooped in to save UK brand Nicole Farhi from administration. {Vogue UK}
Cara Delevingne Struggles with Runway Modeling, Rachel Bilson Graces Cosmopolitan, and Lanvin's New Fragrance Is a Little Egocentric
Strutting the runway isn't as easy as it looks, alleges Cara Delevingne. {HuffPo} Hart of Dixie star and certified cutie patootie Rachel Bilson graces the cover of Cosmopolitan in a feathery Oscar de la Renta Spring 2013 frock. {Cosmopolitan} Legally Blonde star Reese Witherspoon is now legally brunette. {E! It launches today in Europe and Asia, then will be carried as an exclusive at Nordstrom when it hits the US. {WWD, subscription required.}
Candace Bushnell Defends The Carrie Diaries, Calls SATC Movie Plotlines Unrealistic
Clearly, SJP's not 100% on board with the idea of someone else inhabiting the role she played for eight years on HBO. But shouldn't we care more about the opinion of the person who actually created the character?
SJP Doesn't Seem Too Thrilled About The Carrie Diaries
In our minds, Sarah Jessica Parker will always be Carrie Bradshaw. We just haven't figured out how to separate the two in our brains. Even The Edit's Jennifer Dickinson seems to have some trouble differentiating, drawing numerous comparisons between the two throughout the actress's cover story for Net-a-Porter's magazine, asking her about the scope of her wardrobe, her penchant for high heels, HBO's modern day SATC, Girls, and, of course, The Carrie Diaries.

AnnaSophia Robb Explains the 'Aspirational Authenticity' of Her Carrie Diaries Wardobe
This past Saturday, I braved H&M's Fifth Avenue flagship to chat with adorable Carrie Diaries star AnnaSophia Robb. She was there to host, along with Seventeen (whose cover we can only assume she'll be gracing soon) an in-store event celebrating the launch of the retailer's new "Denim Days" campaign.
How to Copy the Original Carrie Bradshaw's Style, Pre-Inauguration Fashion News, and Everything Golden Globes
When Life Gives You a Crash, Make Crashionista: After some technical issues with the site this week, we made a temporary blog to house all of our fashion news. Carrie Bradshaw is Back: To celebrate the premiere of The Carrie Diaries, we compiled the original Carrie's most iconic looks, and showed you how to recreate them in a modern way. Obama Inauguration Style: With the big day fast approaching, we picked the 10 up-and-coming designers we'd like to see the FLOTUS wearing this term, but our prediction for her outfit on Monday is more succinct: A repeat. Of course, we can't forget about the Obama girls, who are getting more attention for their style choices these days. And in more immediate news, Michelle Obama made a big change by cutting bangs for her birthday this week.
Carrie Bradshaw is Back! How to Get Her Iconic Style Today
Tonight is the big premiere of The Carrie Diaries, the CW show that aims to tell the back story of New York's favorite fictional sex columnist Carrie Bradshaw as young girl who apparently grew up in the Connecticut 'burbs. With Gossip Girl star stylist Eric Daman on board to provide the beginnings of Carrie's theatrical, over-the-top style, we have high hopes for the 80s-inspired clothing that young Carrie as played by AnnaSophia Robb will wear. But as on-point as we're sure the new show's wardrobe will be, we're having a hard time envisioning us trying to cop a 1980s teenager's style--even if she is Carrie Bradshaw. So we thought we'd reminisce about the amazing outfits of OG CB, played to iconic perfection by Sarah Jessica Parker--and recreate them for all you modern-day Carries out there. Let's be honest: Sex and the City might have been a story about a woman and her soul mates (and the men along the way), but her closet definitely deserved top billing. From being mugged for her Manolos to passing out at the opera, here are our top ten Carrie Bradshaw style moments, and where to get 'em for yourself. Don't forget to check out The Carrie Diaries tonight on the CW (if you're not too busy watching The Bachelor, which is sadly airing in the same time slot. Damn you, basic cable!).

AnnaSophia Robb on Filling Carrie Bradshaw's Manolos in 'The Carrie Diaries'
FLORENCE--Last night Ferragamo celebrated the opening of a new exhibition devoted to all things Marilyn Monroe at the Museo Salvatore Ferragamo in Florence. Ferragamo's exhibit comes at the tail end of a resurgence of interest in all things Marilyn kicked off by My Week With Marilyn and buoyed by the release of never before seen photos. This latest manifestation of Marilyn will surely keep interest piqued. Ferragamo got his start in Hollywood as a shoe designer to the stars, Marilyn being one of them, so the photos, costumes, shoes, and artifacts on display (like a custom order for Monroe's shoes, or her appointment book) are impressive. But more on that later. Ferragamo got his start with the stars so it was fitting that the brand wrangled a few for last night's opening. The label has cleverly taken an interest in AnnaSophia Robb, aka young Carrie Bradshaw. Nineteen-year-old Robb is no stranger to the spotlight--she's been acting for years--but she's never been in the fashion spotlight before. And she's about to be in a big way, as The Carrie Diaries has been picked up by the CW with Gossip Girl's Eric Daman doing the costumes. We chatted with the starlet about how it feels to be filling those big Manolos.

Carrie Bradshaw Character Cast in The Carrie Diaries
The Carrie Bradshaw character in the much-hyped Sex and the City prequel, the CW series The Carrie Diaries, has been cast. And, no, it's not Elizabeth Olsen, as was previously rumored. The new young Carrie is relatively unknown actress AnnaSophia Robb, best known for playing Violet Beauregarde in the 2005 Johnny Depp-version of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
This is Really Happening: Sex and the City Prequel The Carrie Diaries Pilot In the Works
Prepare yourselves: the world might soon know what Carrie Bradshaw looked like in the '80s. After years of speculation on whether or not a Sex and the City prequel would come to be, the balls are finally rolling. The CW, home to shows like Gossip Girl and Hart of Dixie, has officially ordered a pilot for The Carrie Diaries, based on the novel by Candace Bushnell.
