Most of the Jersey Shore girls (and Pauly D)have delved into fashion in one way or another but we didn't see the Situation following suit. And for formal wear at that. Nevertheless, today brings word that Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino has just signed on to be the face of FLOW Formal tuxedos. The Sitch raked in an easy six figures for the deal, TMZ is reporting. “This is great for us and great for the industry," FLOW Formal CEO Brian Weintraub told TMZ. "[Tuxedos have] become an old man thing." So the company is looking to Sorrentino to rake in that youth market. Young men, would you buy a tux from the Situation (or ladies, would you let your men)?
There's been a dearth lately of Jersey Shore fashion products. For a while there it seemed like every week brought news of a new line of underwear or slippers or hair extensions from one of the cast members. But where's the Snooki merch now? What's happening to Filthy Couture? Thank goodness, then, for Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola, who just launched a limited edition collection of jewelry for RichRocks. It's no surprise to see Sammi making a foray into the world of fashion--she said as much a few months ago. But, she told Gurl.com “I’d love to get into fashion and designing hair extensions and hair products.” Who can say what inspired the Jersey Shore hair goddess to get into bling over hair extensions. All we know is that Sammi's line of blinged out very literal sweetheart-shaped jewelry is here. Take a look. Nothing's over $40.
more It is a Jersey Shore kind of morning. Snooki is no Willow Smith. But it's still kind of amazing that she made her own "Whip My Hair" video. WITH
J-Woww launched her Filthy Couture line of lacy, barely crotch-covering mini dresses and rhinestone encrusted midriff-bearing tops just four months ago, but the line has already shuttered. Threatening law suits are to blame, according to Radar.com. Apparently J-Woww's line was infringing on a similarly named line's copyright. "Due to trademark issues the company was shut down," a source tells Radar. What's more, even if you managed to place an order for a lingerie-inspired bikini in the past few months, you're out of luck. According to the same source, "Money needed to be returned to the people who had ordered clothing." Sadly, it seems this is the end of J-Woww's fashion pursuits.
It finally happened. First JWoww, then Sammi, and now Snooki has finally professed her ambitions to be a designer. “I wanna be a clothing designer, hair designer," Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi told OK!. She also said she wanted to have "you know, four guido/guidette babies" but that is beside the point. Bring on the rhinestone encrusted sunglasses, the matted bunny slippers and Snooki-branded bumpits! Though lately, Snooki's style seems to getting a bit tamer (her hemlines haven't dropped, thank goodness). She's toned down the poof in favor of bangs and a sleeker less-sprayed mane. And at her latest appearance at the FantaSea Yacht Club in Marina del Rey for the launch of some beauty product called "Beautiful Eyes" (it was classy event, Aubrey O'Day was there), she looked the part in an enormous polo match-style hat that she nearly disappeared under.
Jenni "JWoww" Farley has always been the stand-out fashionista of the Jersey Shore girls, what with her barely there crop tops draped over her gravity-defying boobs and her new demure clothing line, Filthy Couture. But now Sammi "Sweetheart" Giancola is saying she wants to get involved. "I'd love to get into fashion and designing hair extensions and hair products," Gioncola told Gurl.com.
