Former Russian Vogue editrix Aliona Doletskaya was once rumored to be replacing Anna Wintour at Vogue. After she resigned as EIC of Vogue Russia in July 2010, the fashion world buzzed that she'd replace her comrade Dasha Zhukova at POP. Well, neither of those things turned out to be true, but Doletskaya has resurfaced in the world of glossies. She's the international editor of Interview's first two international editions: Interview Russia and Interview Germany. Doletskaya has big plans for the first international editions of Warhol's famed magazine--which include bringing on supermodel Naomi Campbell (she's also the girlfriend of publisher Vladislav Doronin) as editor at large. We asked her about her vision for the magazine, her thoughts on celebrity, and whether she'll be bringing any Vogue to Interview.

Aliona Doletskaya's departure from Vogue Russia raised more than a few questions, but mostly people just wondered, "Where would she go next?" Despite rumors that she would replace Anna Wintour at American Vogue, or Carine Roitfeld at Vogue Paris, the most likely scenario was that she would take over Pop from fellow Russian Dasha Zhukova. Instead, Doletskaya will launch two European editions of Interview magazine--one in Russia at the end of 2011 and one in Germany at the beginning of 2012. She will serve as editor-in-chief of both publications. This is great news for Doletskaya, but it's also good news for Brant Publications, the publisher of Interview.
This week in Editorial Musical Chairs, we have some pretty major changes. Perhaps most notably, Sally Singer made her first couple of major hires at T. She brought on her friend Michelle Kessler-Sanders as fashion director, squashing those Meredith Melling-Burke rumors. She also snapped up former V/V Man editor Jacob Brown as T's new features director. He will replace Armand Limnander, who, as we've already reported, followed Stefano Tonchi to W. Also big news - both WSJ and Vogue Russia have new Editors in Chief. Deborah Needleman, former EIC of Domino (R.I.P.), will take on the head role at WSJ. Aliona Doletskaya resigned as EIC of Vogue Russia just last week and they've already found a replacement in former Tatler Russia EIC Victoria Davydova.
