Taylor Swift covers Wonderland magazine, and dishes about relationships (obviously), happiness and the number 13. {Just Jared} Halle Berry and Michael Kors have teamed up on a new collaboration--but it's not of the clothing variety. The two stars are working together to fight world hunger through the United Nations World Food Programme--and make sure Berry's baby bump is perfectly clothed. {US Weekly} Amanda Bynes went to an adult gymnastics class in fishnets and a wig. She apparently cried when she tried to do a cartwheel and her wig fell off. Oh, Amanda. {NY Post}
Karl Lagerfeld Mentored Lost Lamb Claudia Schiffer: Way back when O.S. (Original Super) Claudia Schiffer was just a homesick little fräulein in the big bad world of modeling, the Kaiser apparently took her under his friendly fingerless-gloved wing as her wise mentor. Sounds just like a modern-day modeling fairy tale. {Vogue UK} Nicki Minaj Wears Prada on Wonderland: For the mag's Feb/March issue, a cotton-candy coiffed Nicki Minaj proves that Prada is for more than just basic bitches. Check out Wonderland's latest cover, which features Ms. Minaj rocking totally natural lashes and what looks like a printed version of the Spring '12 bodysuit that's been taking over recent editorials. {Design Scene} What Does Solange Knowles Wear Every Day? It happens every year: Our ever-growing pile of fashion magazines inches higher with each passing month, and by the time December rolls around, we can barely sift through the hundreds of stylish images we bookmarked for inspiration. 2011 was no exception, and in a year that celebrated retro supermodels, androgyny, vivid colors, and plenty of experimentation in the beauty department, choosing our favorites was particularly difficult. The best editorials of the year ran the gamut from huge ensemble casts of blue-chip models styled by greats like Katie Grand and Carine Roitfeld, to intimate, one-on-one portraits of our favorite girls like Lindsey Wixson and Daria Werbowy. The acid brights that dominated the spring collections allowed for some pretty trippy trend stories last season, but the fall glossies featured much moodier imagery, with a number of gorgeous spreads in black and white. Here are the editorials from 2011 that will stay tacked up on our walls and fill our inspiration boards well into the new year—and beyond.
Magazine covers in 2010 could be arranged into two simple categories: the absolutely amazing and the offensively bad. But let's focus on the good here... 2010 was the year that brought us two sets of fantastic LOVE covers (including Alessandra styled by Katie Grand, and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Lauren Hutton, styled by Fashionista columnist Sally Lyndley), Anna Wintour on the cover of the somewhat mysterious Industrie magazine, Dakota Fanning doing her best starlet in Dazed & Confused, and Lara's boobs, looking better than ever on the 90th anniversary issue of Vogue Paris. Overall, covers in 2010 were dynamic, bright, and a bit raunchy, so click through to see which ones hit the right note.
Dash New York Has an Address: A former SoHo gallery space at 119 Spring between Mercer and Greene will soon be Dash's newest location. A Keeping Up With The Kardashians spin-off with Kim and Kourtney will focus on the store's opening. Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick stopped by on Monday to check it out. Kanye West, inexplicably, was also there. Also, Scott apparently has a clothing line in the works that will be "inspired by the looks of Ralph Lauren and Tom Ford." {Racked NY} Stormy Weather: Burberry has a new capsule collection of outerwear and accessories called "Winter Storms." They also made this video to feature the clothes and it just makes us want to bundle up with a cute male model. {Burberry} Win Wonderland: Want a free year's subscription to Wonderland magazine? All you have to do is like Wonderland's Facebook page and put "@Wonderland Magazine" as your status. And the easiest contest of the year award goes to...{Wonderland Magazine}
