Narciso Rodriguez on His Fall Campaign, New Collaborations and Unexpected Sources of Inspiration
Woolmark, the Australian company in charge of promoting the awesomeness of wool the world over, has tapped Narciso Rodriguez for a global marketing campaign, which will hit magazines this fall. As part of the collaboration, Rodriguez also incorporated plenty of Merino wool into his Fall 2013 collection, and will do so again for spring. Woolmark's goal is to show off wool—its beauty, its versatility—and given his penchant for the material, Rodriguez is the perfect design partner. The campaign images have yet to be released, but Rodriguez—who hosted a dinner celebrating the collaboration last night at Wallsé in the West Village—was available to fill in some of the details.

Last year, Woolmark revived its International Woolmark Prize, a global fashion competition that is credited with springboarding the careers of Yves Saint Laurent and Karl Lagerfeld in the '50s. Today, the U.S. finalists have been announced and the list includes some of our favorites. They are:

Victoria Beckham can add a new distinction to her already ten-page-long list of accomplishments: The pop-star-cum-fashion-designer has just been named one of the judges of the prestigious International Woolmark Prize, Vogue UK is reporting. And Beckham is certainly in good company: Donatella Versace and Diane von Furstenberg have also joined the judging panel this year, alongside Vogue Italia EIC Franca Sozzani and Style.com's Tim Blanks.
