Celebs Have Made It Clear: The Exposed Bra Is Back
This year, we've continued to see the underwear-as-outerwear trend, in many different iterations. But celebrities are taking it a step further, by bringing back the exposed bra look.
Another Y2K fashion trend that resurfaced for Fall 2022 thanks to the likes of Givenchy, Versace and Valentino, peekaboo bras have officially moved beyond the runway and onto the red carpet.
Zoë Kravitz took the trend for a test-run back in April, at the party for the reopening of the Tiffany & Co. flagship in New York City, styled by Andrew Mukamal in Saint Laurent.

The look consisted of an unbuttoned white blouse and figure-hugging pencil skirt. While the ensemble was business-chic, it was the exposed bedazzled bralette that caught your eye — perfectly matching the equally dazzling Tiffany & Co. jewelry.
Where the exposed bra has had its biggest field day, though, is none other than the 2023 Cannes Film Festival. While enjoying her time in the South of France, Sydney Sweeney was photographed hand-in-hand with her fiancé Jonathan Davino wearing a white slip dress atop a light blue bra, the top of the cup and the straps peeking out.

So, in case it wasn't clear... the exposed bra is back, and it's here to stay. Sure it's a little risqué, but as our favorite A-listers have shown us, when styled right, the look can make a big statement.
